Arkesso, LLC was founded in 2015 by Dr. Michael R. Krames, a leading authority in wide-bandgap semiconductors, photonics, and advanced optoelectronic technologies. Arkesso supports selective advisory, expert witness, and research-related activities on a limited, invitation-only basis.

Dr. Krames is a Member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, and Fellow member of IEEE, IES and Optica. He is recognized pioneer in visible-spectrum LEDs and III-nitride laser technologies. His career includes senior leadership roles in industry R&D, including Chief Technology Officer at Soraa and Executive Vice President at Philips Lumileds, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and more than 170 granted U.S. patents.

Dr. Krames has served as a testifying technical expert in complex U.S. district court and PTAB proceedings, with litigation-tested opinions that have consistently survived admissibility challenges and been carried through deposition and trial.
